Recruitment Process
Recruited Player Requirements
It all started back on the Chickasaw server around 2004, where several guys of the current team and other tU regulars started playing. This includes rawb, BlueHaze, PSC, tum (aka. Tumarido), PointBlank, wos.het and others. At this time, the tU server did not exist so most of the current tU team was known as uA (United Assassins).
PSC formed uA and asked several of our current members to join the clan, which at first were only BlueHaze and tum. Later on rawb and several other players joined the team. Without having a server of our own, we in a sense, took over the Chickasaw server with our clan's presence. A couple months later, some uA members decided to stop playing CS and the clan began to fall apart. At this point, PSC made a crucial decision to end uA and form an even stronger team. He came up with -|tU|- (The Untouchables) and immediately the clan started to evolve. PSC first asked rawb if he wanted to join the team and later that day asked BlueHaze and tum as well. After having a strong foundation, other members started joining the clan. The order in which the members joined was as follows: PointBlank, Lab rat, wos.het, Tr|x, C!rkus, gaff, r2, yaHzee, Alex, f0rk, and Dark$tar. With every addition to the team, The Untouchables became even stronger, gaining an even greater respect and reputation throughout the Scoutzknivez community.
If someone is believed to be worthy of the team, and are interested in joining, a player can become 'sponsored' for the team. Sponsored players can be anyone that a tU members feels is suitable and valuable to the team. Sponsorships are solely individual members decisions, no matter what another member says (unless there are serious problems). As a general rule, sponsors are those that a member thinks are as good as them or will make a valuable starter -- we only accept the very best of the best. The tU member that makes the decision will become referred to as their 'sponsor', and the player in question will become the 'recruit'. A single tU member may have only one recruit at a time, and can end the sponsorship at any time and for any reason prior to the vote.
The sponsor can bring up the recruit for vote at any time amongst the tU members, but it's customary to have about a month before the voting process and make sure all of the other tU members have had plenty of time to see the recruit play. This gives the tU members a chance to really get to know the player and learn what they're like over a long period of time (and demonstrates their commitment to the team and adds value to their membership if they're accepted all at once!). We don't put a limit on how short a recruitment process can be - but it's insulting our tradition to bring someone up for vote in less than 2 weeks (very few people will ever get in if they've been a recruit for less than 3 weeks). Each tU member will have one vote, and a player must get 80% of the votes to be voted in. If the vote is in their favor, they will be a full fledged member. If it is not, they MAY be recruited again at another time. Again, we don't put a limit on how long a member must wait to re-recruit, but an individual member should rarely EVER sponsor the same recruit twice. Another member should most likely sponsor them when they're ready. Also, it is customary to give a dropped recruit some time to improve before anyone re-recruits them.
Recruits CAN play in ScoutzLeague Matches, however, they will not have the access and priviledges that tU members have.
Once a player becomes 'sponsored', they must follow these three requirements at ALL TIMES:
1. Must wear the recruit tag throughout the WHOLE recruitment process while playing in any scoutzknivez server. The tag will look similarly to the following:
recruitName -|sponsorInitials|- (i.e. JohnDoe -|AB|-).
Don't take it off while playing scoutzknivez under any circumstances!
2. Must be active and make an effort to meet and play with all of the other tU members. The recruit must get on the tU ventrilo server and tU forums and add the tU members to friends on steam! The more the recruit plays with the team the quicker the process will likely go.
3. Must listen to what all tU members (especially the sponsor) say and take it to heart.
